Sleep apnea is a common disorder in which the people have to suffer from pause in the breathing and there may also be shallow breathes while asleep. The people who suffer from this problem stops breathing repeatedly while they are in sleep. This problem is of two types such as:
- Obstructive Sleep apnea (OSA): This is most common in the two forms of apnea; this is generally caused by a blockage of the air, usually when the soft tissue that is present in the back of the throat collapses during the sleep.
- Central Sleep Apnea: This is unlike OSA apnea, in this the airway is not blocked but in this the brain fails to provide signal the muscles to breathe due to the instability in the respiratory control center.
It affects people while they are in sleep, so this has become important for them to have proper sleep apnea treatment. If this problem is left untreated then it may result in the health problem such as Stroke, Hypertension, irregular heartbeats, heart failure and even heart attacks. Therefore it is better to take proper treatment of the sleep apnea.
